Happy Father's Day - Bapak *

I am posted this entry for my father. Happy Father's day ...bapak..

Posted this video for him. The rest of writing will be in the afternoon once I get back from Sunday Mass. I wanted to pray for his well - being as he always get sick in this few months. So do enjoy the video I uploaded here. Its Father & Daughter by Paul Simon

If you ever leap awake
In the mirror of a bad dream
And for a fraction of a second
You can't remember where you are
Just open your window
And follow your memory upstream
To the meadow in the mountain
Where we counted every falling star

I believe the light that shines on you
Will shine on you forever
And though I can't guarantee
There's nothing scary hiding under your bed
I’m gonna stand guard
Like a postcard of a Golden Retriever
And never leave till I leave you
With a sweet dream in your head

I'm gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you'll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you

Trust your intuition
It's just like going fishing
You cast your line
And hope you'll get a bite
But you don't need to waste your time
Worrying about the market place
Try to help the human race
Struggling to survive its harshest night

I'm gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you'll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you

I'm gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you'll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you?

My sisters always told me and our youngest brother that we are so lucky because our father didn't put pressure on us in term of academic like they experienced before. Indeed he didn't put too much pressure on me and the youngest one Well, how am I going to describe my father in here? He is a police pensioner. He used to be away for a week when I was small. That is because he was assigned to head a small police station in Siniawan and the rest of us had to stay at kampung which is more than an hour journey by road.but then it started to change when I was about to sit for my SPM. He used to compared me with the youngest one and claimed that I am not his daughter because I am not smart enough. Luckily, I have my mother to back me up because she believed that I can do better. But still thanks to him, I took his challenge and I did prove him that I can do better. Still he is a good father, work really hard to earn a living for the family after his early retirement. It quite hard for him since he still have three more children that going to school. So he setup small business and taught me about business. There I was sells ice creams in school and after Sunday Mass together with my brothers for our school pocket money. Then we all stopped once we set our foot in the campus life. He is actively involved with church's activities and I used to follow him where ever he went especially when it has something to do with the Catholic Youth Movement. For me it was my only gateway during school holiday ..hahaha...Now with the age of 70, he is still actively in church with Legion of Marie group prayer. May God always be with my father and bless him with a good health and better living soon enough with all of his children (including me :p) and his grandchildren. Love you so much bapak, now I realized that all the things that you did to us (all the advice, pressure) is for our own good indeed.
